To install the calendar wizard, unzip the calendarWizard.X.X.X.zip file and relocate the folder "calendarWizard"following items the Adobe InDesign Scripts folder. Once the files have been copied to this directory, they will show up in InDesign's scripts pallette. (Will need to restart InDesign to see any new files.)

The scripts folder has moved around during the various releases of InDesign.

Windows Locations

In CS2, it defaults to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Creative Suite 2\Adobe InDesign CS2\Presets\Scripts" In CS and CS2, I've been unable to detect where the script has been installed to; however I can locate the directory containing Adobe InDesign itself. To that end the script will expect the "holidays" folder to be in "Presets/Scripts/calendarWizard".

In CS3 and above, there are two options. To install the script for all users of the computer, put the scripts in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Creative Suite 3\Adobe InDesign CS3\Scripts\Scripts Panel". Or to install the script only for a particular user, put them in "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 5.0\Scripts\Scripts Panel". By default, the "Application Data" directory is a hidden directory. In the Windows folder options settings you can tell windows to show hidden directories.

OSX Locations

For CS5, /Applications/Adobe InDesign CS5/Scripts/Scripts Panel

A note on upgrading:

Before upgrading to a new version of the script, please remove any old versions. They can be deleted or relocated to a directory outside of the InDesign scripts folder. If InDesign finds two copies, it will link to the older one.
