Layout and Sizing

Introduction

There are a number of layout/sizing options. There will be three general topics: standard page options, custom page options, and custom calendar options.

Standard Page Options:

• Calendars Per Page
  • When the script generates a new page or pages it can place 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, or 12 calendars per page in a grid layout. See Tutorial 4: 12 Month Single Page Calendar for an example.
• Colorspace
  • The scipt can generate color swatches in RGB, CMYK, or LAB color space.
• Page
  • There are four page options: Auto, Current Text Frame, New Document, and Current Document. When set to "Auto" or "Current Text Frame", the script will generate a single month calender in a predefined text frame if a text frame is selected or the cursor is in a text frame. A calendar for only one month may be produced in a text frame. The "Current Document" will create a calendar on the current page. If multiple months have been selected, additional pages will be added onto the document. If a text frame is not selected, "Auto" or "New Document" types will create a new document and add a page in either landscape or portrait mode of the specified size depending upon the setting in the dialog box. Custom Page Options:

A custom page size may be selected by entering in the desired height and width (numbers or a decimal only). By specifying both height and width, these fields become active and will override the standard
page selection fields. See Tutorial 10: 12 Month Styled Calendar for a example of use.

Optionally, the value of the page margins or bleed can be specified. Note - the margin and bleed fields work independanty of the height and width and can also be used when a standard page size is selected. It was included with the custom height and width to make the dialog box look pretty.

Custom Calendar Placement/Options:

There are a set of four text entry boxes for specifying the size and position of the calendar. The text entry boxes are graphically presented for specifying the top and bottom, left and right corners of the calendar. The script will ignore these values unless all four have numeric (and only numeric) values. See Tutorial 5: Non-Centered 12 Month Calendar for an example of usage.
